Welcome to Newcastle Family Therapy!
Newcastle Family Therapy, PLLC provides individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults treating depression, anxiety, defiance, self-injury, school anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Laurie Howell, M.S., LMFT, is the owner of Newcastle Family Therapy, PLLC, and is a North Carolina Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) as well as a Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Laurie has over 10 years of experience providing therapy to adolescents and their families. She earned her undergraduate degree from The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee and her graduate degree from Virginia Tech. Most recently, she completed post-graduate training in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder.
Laurie previously worked for CMC-Randolph in both the Intensive Outpatient Program and the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Program.
